Physicians

dr. charles w. athey, d.v.m.Dr. Charles W. Athey, D.V.M.

Dr. Charles W. Athey graduated from Auburn University Veterinary Medical School in 1976. He married Cynthia in 1971, and they have two children, Stephanie and Whitfield. Dr. Athey has been practicing in Jacksonville since 1976, and became the owner of Fort Caroline Animal Clinic in 1983.

He has a seven- year-old, female, chocolate Labrador retriever named Bailey who comes to work with him each day. Dr. Athey's practice interests include dermatology and orthopedic surgery.

Dr. Denise Lincoln, D.V.M.

dr. denise lincoln, d.v.m.Dr. Denise Lincoln graduated from the University of Missouri School of Veterinary Medicine in 1981. She has been at Ft. Caroline Animal Clinic since 1981, and feels fortunate to have met so many wonderful people and their pets. She hopes to continue providing quality, compassionate care in the years to come.

Currently, Dr. Lincoln and her husband Mike, have a sweet and loving Labrador retriever named Koda. Koda can fetch just about anything, and secretly dreams of finally digging all the way to China! Koda serves as Dr. Lincoln's constant companion and hiking buddy. They also have a self-adopted kitty, named Darwin. Darwin is a self-appointed commander-in-chief who generously allows Dr. Lincoln and Mike to live with him! Darwin rules their home with an iron paw. Rounding out their menagerie is an assortment of reptiles and tropical fish. Dr. Lincoln's other interests include backpacking, camping, canoeing and gardening.

We feel you deserve the best care. Our doctors, practice manager, receptionists and veterinary assistants have a common goal to provide your pet with the finest, veterinary care possible, and to afford our clients' prompt, professional, courteous service.

Our veterinary assistants are a great resource to the Fort Caroline Animal Clinic team. They offer assistance to the doctors, helping to care for hospitalized pets and assisting with the doctors needs throughout the busy day. Our receptionists' assist in many ways. They do much more than make appointments and answer phones.

They are here to offer advice on pet food, treats, dental care and much more. They will be glad to help you in any way they can, whether in person or on the telephone. Our practice manager, Holly, has been with Fort Caroline Animal Clinic since 1991 and it is her desire to see that our clinic, doctors and staff exceed all of our clients' expectations.
